The Emergency Planning Program aims to empower the Dze L K’ant Friendship Centre to adequately respond to emergency situations, in particular to support traditional food security.  The program aims to develop tools, policies, protocols, and procedures for response and management of emergency incidents related both to agricultural and potential impacts on traditional Indigenous food gathering areas which is mostly located in the forested areas outside of common agricultural areas which would impact agricultural areas in Smithers and Houston catchment areas.
