The Dze L K\u2019ant Friendship Centre was pleased to welcome Todd Lace to the HIV\/Aids Awareness Worker role. Todd moved to\u00a0British Columbia in 1990. It was in BC that Todd met his wife, Charrine; they and their two children settled in Witset, BC in 2011.<\/p>\n
Todd is a graduate of Montr\u00e9al\u2019s Rosemount Technology Centre, in the field of Industrial Drafting (Computer Aided Design); there, he won many awards in the province-wide Robot Competition with his classmates. Todd also acquired a Welding and Fitting diploma from CEJEP (Sofie, QB) and a Professional Cooking diploma from CEJEP (Cowansville, QB). Todd has worked as a welder, chef, and carpenter (specializing in antique restoration), among many other roles.<\/p>\n
When he is not working, Todd enjoys going out on the land with his wife to collect and process traditional medicines taught to them by elders and aunties. Todd has learned a lot about Witsuwit’en culture, and enjoys everything from wood carving, furniture making, and hunting, to travelling\u2014always eager to be learning and mastering new things!<\/p>\n

The H.I.V.\/A.I.D.S Awareness Program delivers non-judgmental services, activities, and information to all people about Sexually Transmitted Diseases (<\/i>H.I.V. \/ A.I.D.S.<\/i><\/a> and <\/i>Hepatitis C<\/i><\/a>) and <\/i>Sexually Transmitted Infections<\/i><\/a>. The program and its partners focus on increasing awareness of transmission, demystifying experiences, and encouraging testing.
