ILF Neurofeedback Technician and Clinical Supervisor
Mark has been contracting with Dze L K’ant since 2023, providing clinical supervision for the mental health counsellors here, and supervising the Infra-Low Frequency Neurofeedback program. Mark grew up on a farm in rural Alberta, and went to the University of Calgary where he earned Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology and Social Work, as well a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a Clinical Specialization. He has been a Registered Social Worker in good standing since 1996.
Mark has worked as a mental health counsellor in northern BC for over 30 years. Along with his wife Beth, and their children Meira and Eli, they first moved from Calgary to Atlin where Mark began working as a community counsellor, and then moved to the Hazelton’s 25 years ago. Mark has also taught college courses, facilitated Mental Health First Aid workshops and worked as a paramedic for the BC Ambulance Service.
Mark has been married for 35 years to his wife Beth, who is also a clinical counsellor in Hazelton. He is an avid gardener who loves to share the bounty of his garden with others. His other passion is music, and he served on the Board of the Kispiox Valley Music Festival for years, and has enjoyed playing the guitar for most of his life. He says that he’s still learning.
